25th Anniversary Celebration: Jinghu Lectures by Literary Masters

The guest speaker in the first lecture of the Jinghu Literary Famous Forum is Professor Cheng Zhangcan from the School of Liberal Arts of Nanjing University. Professor Cheng holds a BA in History from Peking University and a PhD in Literature from Nanjing University. In 2008, he was appointed as a Yangtze River Scholar Distinguished Professor by the Ministry of Education. He once served as the director of the Nanjing University Library. He is currently the director of the Institute of Classical Literature of Nanjing University, a professor in the School of Liberal Arts, and a doctoral supervisor. He concurrently serves as a member of the National Leading Group for Collation and Publishing of Ancient Books, Vice President of China's Selected Works Society, Vice President of Chinese Poetry Teaching Society, Librarian of Jiangsu Provincial Museum of Literature and History, and Editor-in-Chief of Jiangsu Library. The title of Professor Cheng’s speech is: A Bridge Flying Over East and West: Arthur Waley and the Spread of Chinese Literature to the West.
